Welcome to Fort Lewis Elementary School!  We are located in Salem, Virginia. As part of Roanoke County Public Schools, we are committed to providing our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the 21st Century! "Everybody Has a Buddy" at Fort Lewis Elementary! Each student, kindergarten through fifth grade, has buddy to help him or her grow and learn.  Please see the current edition of the MANE Idea, our school newsletter, for up-to-date happenings!

Principal's Message:

I am honored and excited to be serving as the new principal of Fort Lewis Elementary School.  Fort Lewis has a long history of academic success, parent and community involvement, and happy children! 

I have been serving students in Roanoke County since 1995 as a special educator, classroom teacher, and assistant principal.  Providing meaningful and positive learning experiences for our students is not only my mission, it is my passion.  

I look forward to working together to continue this great tradition and to explore new ways to excite and inspire our children to be life-long learners.  My door is always open to share concerns, questions, and great ideas!
