About Ashburn Community School
Ashburn Community School is located on the southwest side of Chicago, at 8300 S. St. Louis Ave. It is one of 636 schools serving the educational needs of students in Chicago School District 299. It is a public school that serves 506 students in Pre-K-8th. We provide a nurturing, competitive learning environment for all learners regardless of ability, creed, ethnicity or learning style. Our students successfully compete with prestigious schools such as Keller Gifted and Decatur Classical. Our curriculum emphasizes technology and 21st Century learning. All classrooms are equipped with a Smart board and Elmo Document camera. Our graduates attend the city's premier high schools like St. Ignatius College Prep, Jones College Prep, St. Rita and Mother McCauley. By the way, Ashburn is a "Level 1" School.
Ashburn Community School PTA
PTA addresses issues that are important to parents and public school administrators. We fight for full funding, quality teachers, and capabilities for schools to thrive. Membership is open to everyone. Your PTA is autonomous but supported by a national structure.
